A priori, the number of Marseille supporters is too large compared to the number initially planned. Around 230 supporters were blocked near the Saint-Aunès area.
The CRS had to intervene to block Marseille supporters on the sidelines of the meeting between Montpellier and Marseille scheduled for this Sunday evening, October 20 at the La Mosson stadium.
They blocked around ten buses near the Saint-Aunès area. And obviously, they didn’t like it. They started throwing stones and throwing smoke bombs at the police. Enough to seriously disrupt traffic on the highway. A fire was even stopped in the scrubland.
450 supporters allowed, not one more
The authorities decided to intercept these ten buses of Olympique de Marseille supporters in view of the excessive number of supporters arriving at the stadium compared to the number initially planned.
According to our information, 450 Marseille supporters were authorized but they would have come with 230 more individuals. However, the police do not want nearly 230 Marseille supporters to wander around La Mosson. Especially since we can fear, on the Montpellier side, a response of the same kind. For now around the stadium, things are going well.
