MTB xc day – Le Petit Journal

A quick summary of the MTB xc day. The weather was favorable and pleasant for the mountain bike competition to take place in the best conditions. “The atmosphere was relaxed in the Banel woods, thanks to the owners who made their land and woods available to us. Three circuits had been prepared by volunteers from the “Union Sportive Romevienne” association, of three different lengths: 300 meters for toddlers, 1200 meters for older children, and 4.5 kilometers for adults, through the woods, on grassy paths, stony paths and small municipal roads. Fifty-eight participants (girls and boys) take part. are registered throughout the day again to the competitors who came from the various UFOLEP MTB clubs and schools, French Cycling Federation and individuals from Gers and neighboring departments (Condom, Lectoure, Fleurance, Beaucaire, Cologne, l’Isle. Jourdain, Auch, Agen…). A big thank you to all the volunteers, to the commissioners who stay for a large part of the day managing traffic, to the rescuers ready to intervene at any time, to the people who managed the timing and the score, to the others who took care of the refreshment bar and the grills, to the Condom club who gave us a helping hand with the organization, to the partners who provided us with the prizes for the podium.
