Pikine, Oct 11 (APS) – The mayor of Pikine, Abdoulaye Timbo, welcomed Thursday the progress of the rehabilitation and renovation work at the Fadilou Diop middle school (CEM) and that of Mbao, ( Dakar suburb) whose delivery is scheduled for the end of December 2024.

“It is a great pleasure to see that the work has really progressed very well at more than 95%,” he declared after a visit to these two public establishments.

Abdoulaye Timbo praised the diligence in carrying out the work to allow learners to be in better study conditions.

”We hope that before the end of December, all the work will be completed and that we will be able to definitively take delivery of the work,” he stressed.

”Given the pace of development of the construction sites, at the end of December, we should be able to receive the work of the CEM Fadilou Diop of Pikine and the CEM of Mbao,” he added.

The mayor of Pikine specified that the overall cost of the two projects is 1,276,800,000 FCFA, an amount mobilized thanks to the budget of the city of Pikine and the support of the Support Program for Communes and Agglomerations of Senegal ( PACASEN).

For his part, Idrissa Guèye, secretary general of the Pikine-Guédiawaye academy inspectorate, welcomed this initiative to renovate and rehabilitate these establishments.
