Monday morning’s accident on Highway 50 unfortunately resulted in the death of the driver of the pickup involved. The latter had hit the back of a heavy truck during the collision. Rushed to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries yesterday afternoon.
The accident caused a major traffic jam on the motorway, and emergency crews quickly attended to the victim. Despite their efforts, the driver did not survive due to the severity of his injuries.
The Sûreté du Québec confirms that the investigation is still ongoing to determine the precise circumstances of the accident. Investigators are trying to understand what led to the collision and are not ruling out any hypothesis at this time.
