The Henri Henric maritime museum, managed by the Association of former sailors-Marins veterans (Ammac) chaired by Christian Laborde, opened its doors for Heritage Days, attracting many visitors, particularly newcomers. “It is a place dedicated to memory and remembrance in order to pay tribute to the missing sailors, but also to the maritime history of the commune such as that of Barcarès. The courage of the sailors is a source of exemplarity, a civic courage of defend human values, peace, tolerance, solidarity and fraternity”says the president. A guided tour of the Saint-Laurent church was expertly led by Roger Ferrer-Landri, president of the Saint-Laurent association our church our heritage, followed by a concert at the Puget organ by Jean-Pierre Baston , professor at the Conservatory of Regional Radiation (CRR) of . The Laurentian church houses the beautiful gallery organ built in 1873 by Théodore Puget, classified as a Historic Monument since 1991.
