These Bischwiller raiders are definitely crazy, but they did it. Teachers, parents, students, a total of 35 people from the Mauroy high school joined the Stade de in from Alsace. 900 kilometers of mountain biking in 10 days and plenty of memories to last a lifetime.

They are tired, exhausted, some probably feel every muscle in their calf and/or thigh, but they are happy, and this blissful happiness can be seen on their drawn faces. The crazy raiders, around thirty high school students, teachers and parents of students from the Maurois high school in Bischwiller in Bas-Rhin arrived at the foot of the Stade de France in Paris after a long journey, Wednesday April 17.

“It’s a wonderful adventure that ends today, says, catching her breath, one of the organizers and incidentally a teacher, Sandrine Weber-Stoltz. The participants were exemplary, 900 kilometers with 6,000 meters of positive elevation gain over 9 stages! Besides my job as a teacher, it’s a lot of training and organization all year round, but when you see the smiles on arrival, you say to yourself that you’ve won everything.”

It has been 10 days in fact since the crazy raiders left Bischwiller with Paris and its Stade de France in their sights, Olympic year obliges. Nine stages including Brussels or Saint-Quentin and here are our high school students in the capital. “Very happy to be in Parisconfide this quartet of friends, reddened by the effort.

Glad to see the nearby stadium for the first time. It was hard, but we all did it together, it was a great experience, it was incredible! Best memories, we just loved it!”

Same feeling from this group of girls. “It was a wonderful adventure, with an incredible atmosphere, even if it was quite hard, especially on the climbs, the buttocks, the thighs, it stung! A memorable adventure in any case which we will remember for a lifetime, it “It’s a unique journey, different from anything else you can do.”

This is also the objective stated in the title of the association, “whose aim is to promote, support and organize school sporting projects of an extraordinary nature”. It is a success, every year since 1992, the participants experience a journey. Vienna, Istanbul or Berlin, for example, have seen these crazy stiffs from Alsace.
