Regrets, but an outcome that remains positive
We really wanted these three points at home. We lost concentration and application from the opening of the Nantes score. It made it difficult for us. We then faced a very compact block. But I'm happy, because the players never stopped looking for this goal. We tried to play, to win this match after equalizing, in vain. Over these last three matches, we have worked a lot. The results are rather positive with these four points and a positive goal average. We must continue in this direction.
A compact adversary block
It's always difficult to play at home when you've conceded the first goal. It took a lot of effort. The first period was particularly difficult and required us to make a lot of defensive runs. We had timing problems finding spaces between and behind the lines, relationships between players… We have to work a lot on that. It's the hardest thing in football. But we have good shooters in this team, we saw it with Augustine Boakye. That's a good thing.
Changes in the eleven
Lamine (Fomba) was very good in training, he has physical qualities and shows investment and presence in sessions. I am happy with his performance. Djylian (N'Guessan), I have no doubt about his ability to play in this team and at this level. He has real quality despite his young age. He should have scored from his situation, but it's nice to see a young player develop with this confidence. Both have earned their place in the training XI.
-A positive mindset
Mistakes happen in football, the most important thing is how you react afterwards. We saw it this evening, against Paris and against Reims… Obviously, the scenario could have been more positive, but we had the merit of reacting. We wanted to play and we wanted to come back to score. However, it is not easy to face difficulties when you are a team at the bottom of the table. It's important to fight in our situation. And that’s what the team did.
