Bruno Cormerais, Noëmie Honiat and Michel Sarran will meet you from Monday January 20 to Friday January 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. on M6 for the 3rd week of competition for “The best bakery in France”.
The great baker road trip continues on M6 for a new season full of talents, emotions, surprises but also and above all delicacies!
The jury continues to travel the roads of France in search of the best artisan bakers, those who delight you day after day with their good breads, their gourmet pastries, their succulent pastries, and their ever more creative snacking!
On the program: tastings of absolutely incredible bakery products, the discovery of the most beautiful places in France, known and lesser known, and of course good humor with your favorite jury!
More than a competition, “The Best Bakery in France” is a tribute to the passionate artisans who work every day to perpetuate their unique know-how. Each bakery visited will be an opportunity to discover rich human stories and to perceive the strong links that unite them to their territories.
They're at it again!
For this 12th season, Bruno Cormerais, Noëmie Honiat et Michel Sarran set out once again to discover the best bakeries in France. By putting them to the test in their establishments, and through tailor-made challenges, they will judge them with appetite, greed and kindness.
Test 1 • The first impression
To start in style, the jury will share with us their first impression of the two bakeries of the day. The product tasted in the store will be rated out of 10. Any small bakery or huge establishment, what counts is the know-how of the baker and the quality of his products, so everyone will have the opportunity to defend their place in the competition.
Test 2 • The favorite product
Savory or sweet, which product are these bakers most proud of, and above all what is its history? Family tradition, revisited regional recipe, customer request or pure creation, every day, 2 new gourmet discoveries for the jury.
-Test 3 • The signature bread
The bakers will reveal to us all the secrets of making their signature bread: the opportunity to discover even more about the types of flour, the combinations of flavors – seeds, fruits, cheeses or other regional products – fermentation, bread making , sourdough… From the first turns of the mixer to the exit from the oven, alongside our baker's MOF Bruno Cormerais who will enjoy sharing all his expertise with us, you will finally understand everything about bread making!
Test 4 • The jury challenge
This ordeal could change everything…
Bruno Cormerais will meet local producers and artisans: farmers, fishermen, growers… in order to introduce us to a local product… that the 2 bakeries of the day will have to sublimate into a bakery creation!
Noëmie Honiat will offer its best sweet variations with prescribed ingredients which it will then submit to the 2 bakeries of the day. Will their creations wow the jury?
Michel Sarran will cook a regional savory dish and ask the bakers to create a unique baked product that will pair perfectly with it! Flavored bread, small puff pastries, breadsticks… what will be the best bakery product/dish pairing?
Week 3 • From Béarn to Landes
Ten bakeries will compete during this first week.
