The transfer window at Borussia Dortmund has been extremely quiet so far. Even if the club is looking for reinforcements, those responsible do not want to rush anything. Now, however, something could happen on the exit side.
Marcel Lotka’s future at Borussia Dortmund has been uncertain for a long time. The keeper once came from Berlin and had the chance to be number 1 there. In the Ruhr area, however, he is only on the field for the 2nd team. His situation could change shortly.
Borussia Dortmund: Lotka left out
There’s no question that at BVB there’s no way past Gregor Kobel’s goal. The Swiss have been a safe bet for several years. Alexander Meyer has made a name for himself since moving from Regensburg. The fans celebrate him as the “best number 2 in the league”. He always has to go when Kobel is injured. He has long since earned his position.

For Lotka this means: no chance in the first team. He is only part of the professional squad on Champions League evenings or when one of his competitors is unavailable. Of course, that’s not enough for the ambitious Lotka. He’s looking at the Bundesliga. And there is apparently a competitor from Borussia Dortmund who is interested in the keeper.
Augsburg before transfer?
The “Kicker” reports that FC Augsburg is said to have kept an eye on Lotka. The Fuggerstadt residents only bought Nediljko Labrovic in the summer – but he has rarely been able to impress. Therefore, the club is probably exploring the goalkeeper market in order to be able to react by the summer at the latest.
