As already reported byAnsa in the afternoon and confirmed by the new president of the Lega Serie A, Ezio Simonelli, the minute of silence will not be observed in memory of Aldo Agroppi, who passed away today.

The decision is to avoid possible booing, since in local customs a minute’s silence is considered offensive. Similar episodes already occurred for Gigi Riva and Franz Beckenbauer last year during the Supercoppa Italiana in Spagnola.

“The League will remember Agroppi’s memory next week, during the Serie A matches” explains Simonelli to the microphones of Sport Mediaset.
