This Sunday, December 29, TF1 came out on top with a rebroadcast of the classic “Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves”, played on screen by Kevin Costner. The film directed by Kevin Reynolds and released in 1991 captivated 3,14 millions of viewers, which corresponds to 19,6% of the public present in front of their television. On the target of women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50), the audience share climbs to 23%.

Last Sunday, the front page, which broadcast the 2nd unpublished unencrypted part of “Avatar”, entitled “The Way of Water”, came well ahead of the audiences, bringing together 4.12 million viewers between 9:14 p.m. and 12:20 a.m. , according to Médiamétrie. This represented 26.3% of the entire public aged four and over, 35.4% of 25-49 year olds and 34.2% of Women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50).

M6 barely above a million viewers

“Vera’s Investigations” continues to appeal, even in rebroadcast. Episode 6 of season 11, entitled “Whether the Wind” was held in suspense 2,78 millions of fans of the series worn by Brenda Blethy. This corresponds to 14,8% of the public and 3% FRDA-50s. Last week, the new fifth part of season 12 intrigued 2.75 million viewers between 9:06 p.m. and 10:36 p.m., which is equivalent to 13.2% of individuals aged four and over, 2.9% of 25-49 years and 4.5% of FRDA-50.

2 follows with a new feature film: “King”. This should have been broadcast on Deux last August, but the channel had shaken up its programs to pay tribute to Alain Delon, who died on August 18, 2024. This film, directed by David Moreau and with Gérard Darmon, Lou Lambrecht and Thibault by Montalembert to the casting, tells the epic tale of King, a lion cub destined for trade, who will try to return to Africa thanks to Inès and Alex, who took him under their wing. Their journey strewn with pitfalls has fascinated 1,87 million of viewers, which is equivalent to 10,1% of the public aged 4 and over and 9% FRDA-50s. Released in cinemas in February 2022, the adventure film had achieved more than 457,000 admissions.

M6, for its part, offered a retrospective of the year 2024. The program presented by Ophélie Meunier and Xavier de Moulins, and called “2024: an exceptional year”, interested 1,08 million nostalgic people in the first part of the evening. 5,7% individuals aged 4 and over and 10% of the FRDA-50 immersed themselves in the memorable events of this past year. The second part of the program, broadcast from 10:20 p.m. to 12:25 a.m., retained the attention of 723.000 viewers, or 6,9% of the public and 11,2% FRDA-50s. Last Sunday, Ophélie Meunier was already on the air but to present a number of “Forbidden Zone” on the Christmas market. This attracted 1.42 million viewers between 9:20 p.m. and 11:11 p.m., which corresponded to 7.5% of those aged 4 and over and 12.2% of 25-49 year olds. On the FRDA-50 target, the market share had reached 12.7%.
