Ramona Bachmann becomes a mother: her partner is pregnant

Swiss international Ramona Bachmann recently announced on Instagram that she and her wife Charlotte Baret are having a child for the first time. The due date is just a few weeks before the home European Championships.

Ramona Bachmann and her wife Charlotte Baret announced on Tuesday with a creative video that the Nati player’s wife is pregnant for the first time.

As Ramona Bachmann revealed in an interview with 20 Minutes, the pregnancy occurred through sperm donation, which was carried out in Spain.

According to Bachmann, the birth date is at the beginning of May, just a few weeks before the start of the European Women’s Football Championship in Switzerland. An additional motivation for the Nati star, as she revealed: “It’s extra motivation for the European Championships, not that I need it.”

The two expectant parents also already know the gender and name. But they don’t want to reveal this yet. Bachmann and Baret married last winter after the two met in Paris when the Swiss was under contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramona Bachmann has been under contract with the American club Houston Dash since April 2024 and scored two goals in twelve games. The 33-year-old has played 151 games for the national team since 2007 and scored sixty goals. (riz)
