Faced with the risk of violent winds, the City of Lyon has closed large urban parks to the public since 10 a.m. (Tête d'Or, Gerland, Blandan and Cerisaie), certain gardens and cemeteries. The closure is planned until the end of the vigilance this Friday.

“Given the weather forecast and the risk of violent winds announced for this Thursday, November 21, the City has decided to close the parks, gardens and the two cemeteries of Villeurbanne. In public spaces, more generally, residents are called to be vigilant,” the municipality of Villeurbanne also indicated this Thursday.

Gusts of up to 110 km/h on the plains, 130 km/h on the hills

Météo France reports gusts in Lyon of up to 85 km/h, 110 on the plains in the Rhône department and up to 130 km/h on the hills.
