The fragments fell on the territory of an unspecified military installation, according to the ministry. The debris started a fire, but did not cause any damage or casualties.

The announcement comes shortly after Washington lifted restrictions on Ukraine using longer-range U.S.-made missiles to strike Russia.

Ukraine did not immediately confirm the use of ATACM missiles to strike Russia's Bryansk region.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Ukrainian General Staff said that the Ukrainian army carried out an attack on the arsenal of the 1046th logistics support center in the Karachev area of Russia's Bryansk region.

The General Staff indicated that multiple explosions and detonations were heard in the targeted area.

“The destruction of ammunition depots of the Russian occupying forces, aimed at ending Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, will continue,” the statement said.
