Fifth match without a win for FC Nantes but a happy draw against OGC Nice (1-1)

FC found itself at the crossroads of its ambitions this Sunday, October 20, on the occasion of the 8th day of Ligue 1. After four unsuccessful matches (two draws in and against Saint-Etienne and two losses against and in ), the Yellow and Green wanted to rediscover the taste of victory after a two-week international break.

Unfortunately, the good intentions came up against solid Niçois who largely led the debates and pushed Alban Lafont to pull out all the stops, with five high-class saves.

Abline plans to give victory to Nantes

However, the Canaries believed for a moment to achieve the perfect hold-up, like Saint-Etienne during the last match at La Beaujoire (2-2). Against the flow of play, Nantes opened the scoring with a magnificent uncrossed header from Matthis Abline (1-0; 67th), on a cross from Moses Simon.

Unfortunately, and as often since the start of the season, Nantes only held their advantage for five minutes, time for the former member of the house, Evann Guessand, to crucify Lafont with a powerful shot under the bar (1 -1; 72nd).

FC Nantes can nevertheless be satisfied with this point, because in the game this team did not show much, except at the end of the match with two good strikes from Amian (90th + 1) then Lepenant (90th + 2) .
