This season is definitely full of surprises for the Girondins de Bordeaux!
After the end of the transfer window closed by Bruno Irlès on rest areas on the motorway, an equalizing goal in the last seconds of play against Poitiers by… his goalkeeper Lassana Diabaté, it was the replacement goalkeeper who made people talk about him during the 4th round of the French Football Cup.
A forced change
Opposed to Seudre Océan, a D1 club (9th division), the Bordelais largely won (0-5) to advance to the next round. But during this one-sided encounter, Bruno Irlès brought in Over Mandanda, his replacement goalkeeper in place of Emeric Depussay… in the midfield position.
A change made in the 89th, not by choice, but by necessity. Indeed, Depussay had taken a hit and as there was no longer a field player on the bench, Steve Mandanda’s little brother came into play.

Over Mandanda therefore participated in the first victory of the season for the Bruno Irlès players who, after four matches in N2 where they were administratively relegated this summer, conceded three draws at home and one defeat away.
