Lux Island Resorts maintains its growth

The Lux Island Resorts hotel group maintains its growth momentum. The group’s revenues amounted to 9.7 billion rupees (approximately 194 million euros), which represents a growth of 18% compared to the corresponding period last year.

“This performance will allow us to face the future with a little more serenity. Reservations recorded are satisfactory and higher than last year for most of our hotels. If the booking trend continues, we should see revenue growth for the first quarter of the new financial year. However, we must also take into consideration the fact that the results will be impacted by the increase in our operating costs linked mainly to the realignment of salaries which was recently announced,” comments Désiré Elliah, CEO of Lux Island Resorts.

The hotel group has improved its customer offering. Two of its hotels in Mauritius, namely the LUX* Belle Mare and the LUX* Grand Baie, have received a 5-star luxury rating from the Mauritian authorities and the renowned Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards. The group is also on the verge of finalizing the purchase of the land of its hotel in St Gilles-les-bains, in .

Very present in Europe and particularly in the United Kingdom, Lux Island Resorts is engaged in a process of diversifying its markets. China remains one of its main targets with a strategy which aims to bring Chinese tourists back to the group’s hotels.
