Bright sunshine is expected for most of the morning. Before midday, a few clouds appear on the slopes, mainly in the heights of the West and South, but clearings remain predominant, particularly in the cirques, and on the summits like Piton-Maïdo and the Volcan, which benefit from of a big blue sky all day.
The trade winds are gaining strength again with gusts of 50 to 60 km/h in the North, blowing at times as far as Pointe des Galets, 60 to 70 km/h in the South Sauvage, temporarily going up to Saint- Louis, or even Pointe de l’Étang-Salé. This turbulent wind is also noticeable in the interior with peaks of 50 or even 60 km/h in the plains and on all exposed ridges. The west facade remains subject to breezes.
The generous morning sun quickly causes the mercury to rise; before the end of the morning, the thermometers display 26 to 29°C near the ocean or even locally 30°C in the West, 21 to 24°C in the cirques and flirting with 20°C at Piton-Maïdo as in No Bellecombe-Jacob.
The sea is slightly rough to rough with the dampening of the two small swells, that of the South-South-West and that of the trade winds.
