The new Prime Minister will speak this Tuesday, October 1, during his general policy speech to the Assembly. In Tourcoing, Gérald Darmanin assured that he “supported the government of Michel Barnier”. But the former minister issued a warning to the new tenant of Matignon.
“I know that many of us will not be able to support a government that would increase taxes: that would be contrary to everything positive we have done for the French.”, pointed out Gérald Darmanin. In a column, published on Saturday September 28, several Macronist deputies made it known that they were opposed to any increase in taxes. “The money of the wealthiest must go into job creation, not into public coffers”, also underlined the former Minister of the Interior.
