One week before the start of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, Jannik Sinner is still on the throne of the ATP circuit, with more than 4,000 points ahead of the German Alexander Zverev. Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is 3rd, some 600 points from second place.
Serbian legend Novak Djokovic, who at 37 is hunting for a 25th Major, retains his 7th place despite his elimination in the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 tournament in Brisbane on Friday. Just behind him, the Australian Alex de Minaur gained a place to the detriment of the Russian Andrey Rublev (9th).
The first Frenchman is still Ugo Humbert (14th) ahead of Arthur Fils (20th). Mpetshi-Perricard took advantage of his semi-final in Brisbane to gain a position and reach 30th place, equaling the best ranking of his young career. Winner of his first tournament on the main circuit in Hong Kong on Sunday, Alexandre Müller does even better: he is 56th (+11), which is, at 27 years old, his best ranking.
