Honda has had a particularly frustrating season. Despite progress over the months, the Japanese team remains far from the competition and finished the last MotoGP season in last position in the manufacturers' standings. If Johann Zarco kept the team at arm's length, delivering superb performances, his teammates had much more difficulty, starting with Joan Mir.

Honda wants to keep confidence in Mir

The former world champion cannot find the solution but can always count on the support of his team, as his manager Alberto Puig indicated on the official MotoGP website: “Joan is already MotoGP world champion, so the current situation is not very pleasant for him. The bike is not level and he tries. He suffered falls, obviously, because when you are world champion, you push and you want to obtain results. But for the moment, that hasn't happened and we hope that he will be able to maintain his motivation even when times are hard.” The patience of the leaders may nevertheless not be eternal, despite a bike not yet up to standard.
