The L'Escal municipal media library in Nailloux is organizing an exhibition on the remarkable trees of Haute-Garonne from this Tuesday, January 7 to Thursday, February 6. Come and discover a captivating exhibition produced by the “Arbres et Paysages d’Autan” association. An invitation to dive into the heart of nature and explore the remarkable trees that shape the landscape of Haute-Garonne. “Arbres et Paysages d'Autan” is an association under the 1901 law of Lauragais, which aims to promote the role of trees in the preservation and restoration of the landscape for the better living of all. The result of field work since 2011, bringing together experts and tree enthusiasts, the exhibition presents these exceptional trees in terms of their age, their history, their size and even the biodiversity they shelter. A beautiful presentation of the natural and cultural heritage of Haute-Garonne. 350 trees were identified, 100 were retained. The 14 most remarkable are each the subject of a panel presenting their history, their particularity, their capacity to accommodate biodiversity… and their criterion of remarkableness: exceptional age, remarkable shape and architecture, exceptional dimensions, botanical particularity or historical interest. 4 other panels represent trees grouped by theme: remarkable alignments, landmark trees, rare trees or village trees. A welcome panel on the map of Haute-Garonne with a focus on biodiversity welcome elements. Highlight: Saturday January 25, at 10:30 a.m., with stroll and discussions with Quentin Fabregal and Janine Cransac, from the association. A family meeting to discuss and share around these natural giants who beautify our territory. Public of all ages. An exhibition not to be missed for nature lovers!
