During its First Look event, Samsung unveiled a new ultra short throw projector. Called The Premiere 5, it features Triple Laser technology and aims to offer a large image up to 100 inches diagonally.

For CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Samsung has decided to expand its range of video projectors with a newcomer still in ultra short throw, thus joining The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9. More affordable, as it is priced at around $1,900. here in the summer, this model is called The Premiere 5. This is a model displaying a Full HD image with a Triple Laser light source. It promises a 40-inch image from just 20 cm away or up to 100 inches at maximum (about 43 cm from the wall). Samsung announces a brightness of 560 Lumens.

Working with the Tizen OS system, like the brand’s TVs and other video projectors, this device has a 10 watt audio system. It is Q-Symphony compatible and can be used as portable speakers.

In order to offer something other than the broadcasting of films or series, the device will be delivered with an accessory incorporating a camera and acting as a support. Installed horizontally, it is thus capable of detecting the user’s gestures in front of its beam.

Via a smartphone, it can therefore offer fun applications such as games that are played by sliding your fingers, as if the office became a touch zone.
Compact, The Premiere 5 video projector is barely 20 cm high and 14 cm wide and deep. As for connections, it has two micro HDMI ports and a USB-C port, located underneath.
