Bowers & Wilkins is known for its premium Bluetooth headsets. The Px8 model is one of them, and has good arguments to put forward, such as its excellent audio quality and its good autonomy. Today, it is much more recommendable, going from 699 euros to 399 euros.
Less well known than the Bose, Sony or Apple Bluetooth headphones, the British manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins also has interesting high-end models, such as the Px8. Rated 7/10 by us, it gives us more for its very careful finishes, its particularly wide soundstage and its very pleasant, responsive, detailed and deep audio rendering. However, it is difficult to recommend it with its starting price of 699 euros. Fortunately, here it is 42% cheaper for the new year.
Le Bowers & Wilkins Px8 propose…
- Exemplary finishes
- Excellent sound quality
- Good autonomy
Priced at 699 euros, the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 headphones are now discounted at 42% and are now priced at 399 euros on the Darty and Fnac sites.

A luxury, comfortable helmet
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 is a closed headset with a circum-aural format, whose earcups can rotate 180 degrees, although we regret that the headset cannot fold. It is therefore less practical to store quickly in a backpack. It especially scores points with the materials chosen: we have a cast aluminum frame and Nappa leather finishes.
Despite the 320 g of the headset on the scale, the Px8 appears rather balanced on the head with a weight well distributed between the top of the skull and the pressure around the ears. The padding of the headband is thick and wide enough not to feel any discomfort. In terms of battery life, the headset lasted 38 hours and 13 minutes before it ran out of battery during our test. An excellent result, much higher than that announced by the British firm.
A nice sound signature, but ANC falls short of the competition
The headset also comes with active noise reduction, but this is not where it excels. The Px8 does offer good passive isolation, thanks to the thickness of its ear cushions that surround the ear, but the difference between simple passive isolation and active noise reduction is quite minimal. It can also be used with a transparent mode.
For the audio part, he uses 40mm carbon transducers here. The whole is harmonious, with good bass emphasis, well-balanced mids and effective vocal reproduction. Finally, it is compatible with the most classic Bluetooth audio codecs on the market, namely AAC and SBC, but also higher quality codecs, namely aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive.
