A simple operation, achievable by everyone, even by those who know nothing about computers. We’ll explain it all to you step by step. Ready? Here we go!
1. Open Command Prompt
The first step is to open the Start menu. In the search engine, type cmd. The result that comes out first is the command prompt. Right-click on it and select “run as administrator”. Obviously, you have to have the rights.
2. Start detecting software to update
A black window opens on your desktop, the famous command prompt. It may scare those who are not versed in the mysteries of IT, but don’t panic, it’s very simple. You have to type winget upgrade. Don’t look for where, there is only one place where you can write.
Another question appears, type Y.
3. Update installed software
A list appears on the screen. It is the installed software that needs an update. Here we have six, but there could be many more. Normally, we would download them one by one, but with the command prompt, it is possible to save a lot of time.
By typing winget upgrade –allall software updates. Be careful to write the command as it is in the image below, with its space and its two hyphens (the text may be displayed incorrectly in your browser). At this point, there is no need to do much, just wait for everything to download and install. Once everything is finished, the C:WindowsSystem32> line of code reappears.
