After Vienne, Haute-Vienne and Creuse, it’s time for Corrèze. The duo walks in the footsteps of the Palin dolmen, in Saint-Cernin-de-Larche, a 5,000-year-old funerary monument.

“The Gauls also used them. They also practiced cremation, which is why we were also able to find ash in these dolmens. I repeat, it was not at all the Gauls who built these monuments, but truly peoples who invented culture and livestock farming,” says Josette Marteau-Château enthusiastically.

Josette looks at the dolmen with admiration, paying attention to the smallest detail. : “It always moves me when I am faced with a well-preserved monument like that, to imagine these people, who built this with means that we can no longer imagine. These human forces”, underlines- She.

During their research, the two amateur archaeologists identified thirty-seven megaliths in Corrèze: menhirs, cromlechs, dolmens which they patiently immortalized throughout the seasons.

“It’s not about immortalizing them, but about bringing them to life, explains Benoît Château. First, they live in different lights. There is a real interest, both documentary and aesthetic.”
