Android Authority has gotten its hands on the features that the Galaxy Ring should offer from the Samsung Health app.
In a little over a week, Samsung should finally lift the veil on the Galaxy Ring. if the manufacturer’s connected ring was already presented last January, it is on July 10 that the firm should officially launch it and deliver all of its characteristics and functionalities.
A few days before the Galaxy Unpacked presentation, the site Android Authority was however able to get their hands on the integration of the ring into the Samsung Health application. By playing with the application, the specialist site was able to discover some of the measurements that should be offered on the connected ring and on the interface that will then be offered.
Stress, heart rate, temperature and… snoring
Concretely, the various screenshots allow you to discover measurements taken with the ring for stress or heart rate measurement, directly from the application. According to information unearthed by Android Authority, the ring should also be able to evaluate skin temperature, particularly as part of menstrual cycle monitoring. The screenshot shared by the specialized site also specifies that the user will have the choice as to the device performing this measurement, between the Galaxy Ring and a Galaxy Watch watch also integrating a temperature measurement.
Last measure highlighted by Android Authority, that of snoring. Here too, the Galaxy Ring could be used in the same way as a Galaxy Watch, by carrying it with you at night – probably to measure oxygen saturation in the blood – and by sleeping close to your smartphone which goes to be used to record sounds.
Overall, the Galaxy Ring should therefore have functionalities identical to those of a Samsung watch, but in a miniaturized format. The ring is expected to be officially presented on Wednesday July 10 during the Galaxy Unpacked conference in Paris.
