A strange Xbox mobile interface spotted in a car via the show Top Gear | Xbox

While we were hoping for the announcement of a portable Xbox console during the Xbox Games Showcase held earlier this month, Microsoft ultimately did not mention the subject, but a curious Xbox interface spotted in a car is intriguing today.

A new Xbox mobile interface on the run?

During the latest episode of the car show Top Gear that aired recently, Mate Rimac, founder of Rimac Automobili, presented the Verne concept. It is an autonomous robotaxi developed in collaboration with the company Mobileye, which operates thanks to a unique application and a specially designed infrastructure to “form an ecosystem that will power the cities of the future”.

What interests us here is that during the presentation of the vehicle, we can see the Xbox logo several times and especially a dedicated interface never seen before. We see a menu with a tile system highlighting the games The Finals, Fortnite or Halo Infinite, in what seems to be a cloud gaming interface.

As we know, Microsoft has been experimenting for a long time with a redesign of its mobile interface for Windows, in particular in order to better adapt to small screens, but it seems here that we are rather dealing with a “mockup” produced by the automobile company rather than a real Xbox interface to come.

Fortnite and The Finals games are not available in the cloud or on the Xbox PC app. Microsoft also reserves Xbox Cloud Gaming for Xbox Game Pass games, and it is hard to imagine the company accepting that one of its interfaces in development be “revealed” in this way.

We must also admit that the menu is rather pretty and we obviously hope that a similar concept is currently in the works at Xbox. If like us you like tech in the broad sense, you will find below the entire segment dedicated to the presentation of the car of the future imagined by Rimac.
