More than 900 cyclists will ride up to 600 km on the roads of Quebec for the cause of children, from June 29 to July 5, on the occasion of the 28th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau.

The Charles-Bruneau Foundation fights against pediatric cancer in Quebec. Donations allow all children with cancer to increase their chances of recovery by funding research in pediatric oncology.

“We are lucky to have 900 cyclists who will cycle with us across Quebec for the cause of children,” comments Pierre Bruneau, founder of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, who will also cycle for the cause in the coming days.

Hundreds of cyclists will cover several kilometers from June 29 to July 5. “The people who participate in it, they are extraordinary. They are people of heart. They know why they come,” says Mr. Bruneau.

This year, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation hopes to raise $3.5 million for this 28th edition. “We’re talking about net money! That’s in addition to the amounts already raised and the amounts committed by the Foundation. With the amounts we’ll have, we’ll exceed $100 million in investment in research here in Quebec,” insists the founder.

The Charles-Bruneau Foundation allows us to pursue “children’s dream of healing,” he adds. “We want a childhood without after-effects. It is our responsibility to improve their condition, to see that this passage with cancer takes place without too many consequences for their future lives. ̧

Several departures are planned throughout Quebec. “The enthusiasm is interesting, we are spreading almost everywhere across Quebec. We represent children from all over Quebec and we give them a chance to heal,” concludes Pierre Bruneau.
