Preview Calendar, replacing Reminders in macOS Sequoia and iOS 18

At first launch, the Calendar interface gives the feeling of having changed only marginally. It’s not false. There are many notable developments, but more in the new choices of presentation of its calendars than in the overall appearance of the application.

The event bars are more rounded in the corners and a small icon in front of the labels distinguishes events from reminders. Because it is one of the main (and rare) new features of this year with iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia: Calendar no longer ignores the existence of the Reminders app.

From Apple Calendar, existing reminders (circle icon) are automatically displayed in the middle of events (calendar icon). There is a box to hide scheduled reminders, but nothing if you don’t want them at all in Calendar. You have complete freedom to mark them as done, edit them, delete them, and even create one when something comes to mind. For all this, you no longer need to go to Reminders when you are already in Calendar.
