Tesla will remove one of the bonuses offered as part of the Premium Connection of its cars, billed at €9.99 per month. Access to Spotify Premium will no longer be guaranteed.
If you own a Tesla car and subscribe to Premium Connection, then you may have received this notification. It states: “ From December 1, 2024, the vehicle’s Spotify Premium account will no longer be included in your Premium Connection subscription. » Which means that you will lose all the advantages of the premium formula of the famous music streaming service (music without advertising, in particular).
Please note, this does not mean that Spotify will no longer be usable in Tesla vehicles. It will still be possible to launch the application, but you will need to subscribe to an additional subscription (€11.12 per month) to benefit from the best possible experience. A cost which is added to the €9.99 of the Premium Connection. Otherwise, you can turn to another service (Amazon Music, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.) or use Bluetooth (if you prefer Deezer, for example).

Remember, however, that Tesla’s Spotify Premium subscription is exclusive to the car. It is impossible to use it elsewhere, which leads to more subscriptions. For some people, this bonus is already useless.
This is therefore one less advantage for the Premium Connection, which allows you to enjoy music in your car without hassle. Even if this could duplicate another subscription (example: we swear by Apple Music). For the moment, nothing seems to indicate that there will be a price reduction for the Premium Connection, which is less and less attractive.
From December, the Premium Connection will only offer three real advantages:
- Maps with satellite view
- Real-time traffic visualization
- Sentinel mode with live camera view from the mobile application (15 minutes per day)
The Standard Connection, free and included with all vehicles, simply guarantees the use of GPS.
