“Dinan: books celebrating! », will take place on Friday the 11th; Saturday October 12 and Sunday October 13 at the municipal library. For its 34th edition, the event will be under the theme of paper.
Beyond books, the program of this festival offers a varied program in cultural terms with a nice mix of arts. On the agenda for these three days are literary meetings, workshops, concerts, storytelling, dance conferences, shows, theater, as well as the screening of two short films… and its traditional clearance sale.
The opening will be in music with a Passion Piano concert, Mathurin-Monier room, on Friday evening. Tales for all audiences “If the paper was told to me” on Saturday, then a meeting with Yves Prié from Folle Avoine editions. budding artists can try their hand at a calligraphy illumination workshop. In partnership with the Films Courts festival, two short films will be screened at the library.
Dance and geology
The Presumption of Innocence company will offer a very original dance conference on the theme of geology, “a verbal, musical, scientific and poetic joust between two women, one a dancer, the other a geologist”.
During the open house on Sunday 13, the library’s heritage collections are also exceptionally presented: the Abbé Lemasson Library and the Auguste-Pavie Cambodia Laos Vietnam Fund. The opportunity to discover a selection of manuscripts and printed matter, treasures preserved in the library’s collections. The Blue plant and Murmures exhibition by Isabelle Dubrul (sculptor) and Vanvi (photographer) will be inaugurated, between musical moments, theater, writing workshop, drawing concert or show for young audiences…
This event, intended for all audiences of all ages, is a broad invitation to the inhabitants of Dinan and the region to come and discover or rediscover the municipal library which lists no less than 110,000 media: comics, novels, documentaries, biographies, films , music, etc.
