Marrakech – More than 700 participants passionate about the latest technological innovations, experts and decision-makers, from more than 30 countries, met from October 2 to 4 in Marrakech, on the occasion of the 11th edition of Devoxx Morocco, the largest conference dedicated to developers in Africa.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this flagship event, organized by xHub, has established itself as a convergence platform for developers, entrepreneurs, decision-makers and global leaders in the technology sector and digital transformation.

The opening ceremony of Devoxx Morocco 2024 was marked by two presentations from two world-renowned speakers, namely Katie Gamanji and Lize Raes.

In her talk, Ms. Gamanji, a renowned expert at Apple, explained how cloud-native tools, such as Kepler and carbon-aware operator KEDA, can be used to estimate the energy consumption and carbon emissions of loads. of work.

For her part, Ms. Raes, Product Manager and Developer Advocate at Naboo.ai, captivated the audience with her expertise and perspectives on current software development trends.

In her presentation on the theme “Failure is a myth: coding with joy and innovation”, the speaker highlighted the power of a child-like learning approach in the workplace and how curiosity, play and experimentation can transform the programming experience.

In a statement to MAP, the founding president of Devoxx Morocco, Badr El Houari, stressed that this edition will once again highlight emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data science and programming languages, with a particular emphasis on cloud computing, to which the organizers have devoted pride of place, with sessions led by renowned experts and founders of startups and innovative ideas among others.

While emphasizing that Morocco has talented and innovative youth, he noted that Devoxx Morocco is part of the dynamic of training young people in new technologies, introducing them to international experts and learning about recent developments in bed.

In a similar statement, Amine Maârouf of the xHub company, stressed that Devoxx Morocco is a true celebration of knowledge sharing and the creation of communities united by the passion for technology.

For his part, Sébastien Blanc, a French expert, who is participating for the fifth time in Devoxx Morocco as a speaker, noted that this unique event in Africa represents an important meeting dedicated to the sharing and exchange of expertise , noting that the enthusiasm in Morocco for new technologies has resulted in the establishment of Moroccan companies in the sector in several countries, such as Spain and Canada.

The speaker noted that in his presentation at this event, he will review the essential art of Kubernetes operators, its fundamental concepts and its importance in modern DevOps.
