The Los Angeles Kings took their first skates at the Videotron Center on Wednesday morning, in front of around a hundred hockey fans who greeted them with applause as they arrived on the ice.

The Kings are in Quebec to play their last two preparatory games, Thursday against the Boston Bruins, then Saturday, against the Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers.

“We are very excited. I have already had the chance to play in this amphitheater and the atmosphere was very good,” said Kings captain Anze Kopitar during the press conference on the sidelines of the two matches.
Philip Danault and his gang arrived early Tuesday evening. Marc Bergevin, the former general manager of the Canadiens who became advisor to the general manager of the Kings, Rob Blake, also made the trip.

They will stay in Quebec until Saturday evening, then they will leave for Charlevoix, where they will spend a few days. They will train in particular at the Clermont arena on Monday.
