The tests carried out by the Digital Laboratory revealed a luminance of 1600 cd/m2 compared to 1350 cd/m2 for the previous generation. This represents a gain of 20%, establishing a new record for OLED technology. But above all, this increase is obtained by maintaining deep blacks as well as colors that are both vibrant and precise. Samsung could have been satisfied with this progress, but also provides an anti-reflective treatment that can be described as revolutionary as the results obtained are impressive. This unique treatment, reserved for the S95D model, hunts down reflections, delivering an incredibly low reflectance of only 8%, while it reaches 25% on competing OLED televisions. The NQ4 AI Gen2 processor is responsible for optimizing rendering and restoring the best possible images. It also incorporates the new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, equipped with 512 neural networks, 8 times more than the previous generation. It can therefore upscale all content from lower sources to deliver a superb 8K image.
The processor’s AI capabilities are also leveraged to improve sound quality thanks to AVA Pro technology.
