Valve Plans to Roll Out Anti-Cheat System on Deadlock, But It’s Not Ready Yet

Launched last month in private early access (accessible only via an invitation by code), Deadlock is the next online shooter that will have the difficult task of making Valve’s heyday and will have to compete with games like Overwatch 2 or Valorant. The problem is that Deadlock’s beginnings are not sensational and many players criticize Valve’s game for being poorly balanced with many opportunities for cheaters. Good news, the studio is already working to implement an anti-cheat system. The only problem is that this system is still far from being ready.

It was on August 11th that Valve published a message on the official Deadlock Discord to confirm that an anti-cheat system was in place in preparation and that it will arrive soon. The problem is that a month later, players and the community still have no news of this miracle solution. And this is starting to annoy more than one with numerous complaints on the game’s Reddit channels.

On the development teams’ side, they assure that the fight against cheating is “a very high priority in the long term” and that she had “a group of people working on anti-cheat”. Moreover, the developers have published a new message on the game’s official Discord, to address players and the community by inviting them to also fight against cheating. by joining this group of people :

“If you think someone is cheating in the game, please report it in the #reports channel of the official Deadlock Discord by Valve […] Cheating reports are quickly processed manually while an anti-cheat is still under development.

It will therefore be necessary to be patient for the privileged ones who can already discover the game. Deadlock has reached a new record of 171,490 simultaneous players at the end of August. However, still no specific release date for the title which is still accessible by invitation only.
