The young prodigy of the Philadelphia Flyers, Matvei Michkovis going through a rookie season full of challenges. Despite his current streak of ten games in the last eleven without a point, it is his relationship with the head coach John Tortorella which gets a lot of talk.

He is a very experienced coach, and there are many things I can learn from him. Of course, he always explains to me why he makes certain decisions and gives me advice on how to improve.

For me, the most important quality in a person is honesty, and John Tortorella is very honest. He always says what he thinks, and that’s something I respect enormously.
