If Olympique Lyonnais seems to be moving in the right direction to reassure the DNCG about its financial possibilities, the departure of Rayan Cherki (21 years old) in the winter transfer window would not be a luxury.
OL were not reassured for their last outing, Saturday, at Groupama Stadium. If the Gones did the job in front of Montpellier HSC (1-0), the quality of the game produced at home was not convincing. Even Pierre Sage gave his players a soap, asking them to find their bases for the next trip to Brest (Saturday, 5 p.m.). In the meantime, rumors of the transfer window risk shaking up OL's daily life.
€25m from Atalanta for Cherki?
Yesterday, La Stampa announced that Atalanta would be ready to try for Rayan Cherki (21), a track that PSG would have abandoned for this winter. The Italian club has concrete sporting and financial arguments since Rudy Galetti confirms this information by specifying that Bergamo would be ready to offer 25 million euros (+ bonus) after having informed OL of its interest.
Nothing concrete yet but…
That being said, no formal offer has yet been made, nor have any direct discussions with Cherki's entourage. There are still many steps to take before a possible departure for the Lyon star, even if everything could accelerate in January.
