The Océanic gives the Tigers a beating

Mistreated last Sunday in Shawinigan, the Océanic served the same medicine to the Tigres Friday evening, at the Colisée Desjardins in Victoriaville, winning 10-1 thanks to extraordinary performances from Jonathan Fauchon, Alexandre Blais and Jacob Mathieu.

The first Lower Laurentian trio had fun like a thief at a fair.

Fauchon had a goal and five assists, Blais scored a double and collected three assists, while Mathieu added four points to his record, including his 4th hat trick of the season.

Luke Coughlin, Spencer Gill, Dominic Pilote and Lou Lévesque also scored for Rimouski. Mathis Dubé also did well with two assists.

Joël Perrault’s squad led 9-0 in the third period when Justin Larose deprived Mathis Langevin of his shutout.

The 18-year-old goaltender blocked 25 pucks to earn his first victory with his new team.
