Arnaud Zoldos does not hide his joy on his Facebook page, December 31, 2024: “Today, I achieved an incredible feat: I hold the record for views on a Real in France for 2024! Thank you all for your incredible support. Together we reached 243 MILLION VIEWS and made history in 2024.“
In February 2024, the motocross rider from Gers told us the story of this video phenomenon:“jI passed by it every day on my way home. I only felt one desire: to jump.” Arnaud Zoldos, 20 years old, took his courage in both hands one summer afternoon in 2023. Leaving work, he got on his motorbike and jumped over this Gers river in a few seconds. “I was with a landscaper intern, with whom I worked. We cleaned the land, filmed with an iPhone, and it was in the box.”
On January 25, 2024, he found this video on his phone and decided, by chance, to post it. Result: 210 million views to date, and 7 million likes. The young Honda rider, licensed at the Marciac Moto Club Enduro Sport, admits: “I had no interest in missing out. For this kind of jump, you have no room for error. It was a challenge that I had launched against myself.”
Arnaud Zoldos now has more than 228,000 subscribers on Instagram. The video brought him a surprise and unparalleled spotlight. “Some expatriate world champions in the United States have 100,000 fewer followers than me on Instagram. It’s really impressive.”
The rider explains that, in the motorcycle world, social networks have taken a very important place in recent years. “Having a nice Instagram profile is almost more important than performance.” He also notes that this video, taken with his “little iPhone”garners more attention than professional videos, produced by videographers paid by sponsors during competitions. “It’s sad, laments Arnaud Zoldos. Interest in this sport is mainly based on buzz.”
