Club Brugge has targeted Raphaël Onyedika’s successor

Halfway through the season, Club Bruges is still in the running to win the championship and the Belgian Cup. In the Champions League, Bruges are also doing well, finding themselves in 19th place (10 points) after 6 days.

During this winter transfer window, Bruges does not really need to recruit. In fact, all positions are already doubled. Despite this, the club is scanning the market for good opportunities.

Leon Belcar in Bruges?

Leon Belcar, a young 22-year-old Croatian defensive midfielder playing for NK Varazdin, is particularly followed by the Bruges team. After having played 91 matches (9 goals, 2 assists) in the jersey of his training club, Belcar is ready to reach a new level.

According to various Croatian media, Belcar would also interest AZ Alkmaar and Rangers. The president of Varazdin is aware that his player is followed by several European clubs, but he assures that no offer has yet been received.

According to Transfermarkt, Belcar’s current value is estimated at 800,000 euros. Germanic reports, however, that it will be necessary to pay a larger sum to secure the services of the tall defensive midfielder (1m86).

Onyedika’s successor?

For the moment, Bruges has no reason to accelerate on this issue. Indeed, Nicky Hayen can already count on many players in the midfield with Jashari, Vetlesen, Nielsen, Vanaken and Onyedika. Only his departure could change things.
