His paintings suggest a melee of worlds, a cosmogony in the process of genesis, a movement put in tension or else arouse a form of appeasement and tranquility.

Teaching of visual arts

“I have always practiced drawing and painting. I mainly use canvas, but wood and paper support interest me a lot. I have also trained in the Aperto workshop for over 20 years. I have made several interventions on classical and contemporary painters and have been teaching visual arts for several years”explains Véronique Rio. Many artists touch me: Vermeer, Turner, Géricault, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Van Dongen, Richter… But also the work by Romain Ventura, David Bioulès, Thomas Verny and Abdelkader Benchamma My paintings are most often on the floor or on a table. I reserve the almost white frames and then sometimes carry out my experiments. painting, a photo, a travel story will be triggers”she continues.

She uses a lot of colors from the chromatic range for the oils. Through her art, she wishes to convey an emotion, “that of transformation, even transfiguration”.
