New Year's Eve went badly for FC Barcelona, as La Liga refused to register Dani Olmo. Barça turns to the federation, while the player is now free.
In a press release, FC Barcelona announced this night that it had asked the Spanish football federation for the right to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, following the refusal of La Liga. The latter believes that the Catalan club has not provided the financial guarantees necessary to give the green light to Barça. As the Spanish sports press points out, the Spanish football federation has never exceeded its rights and decided to grant a license to a player without the agreement of La Liga. For his part, Dani Olmo sent a message of greetings suggesting that he was not considering leaving FC Barcelona while legally he is now free to sign wherever he wishes, since to date, he cannot not play with his club.
