During the first trip of the season to Davos, HC Ajoie remained silent for a long time, too long to hope to win points. Trailing 1-0, then 3-0 after two thirds, HCA started too far and finally lost 4-3. Friday night, he didn’t want to make the same mistakes. Well he took it.
It was therefore a balanced first third that we were entitled to. In terms of number of shots (9-6), HC Davos led, but none of them found the right place. The biggest opportunity? It was even for Jonathan Hazen, who, with a little more than five minutes remaining, found Hollenstein’s goal. Hazen and Pedretti attempted another breakthrough in the sequence, but it was still not the right one. The last big chances of the third period were for Davos, who in the last four seconds still managed to worry Benjamin Conz, fortunately without damage.
But this HC Davos, in need of victories compared to its ambitions in the ranking, could not decently afford to settle for a draw against the red lantern. The second half therefore began with great local pressure.
