The 2024 NBA Draft is tonight! Every year, the NBA Draft is the big craze, it’s the end-of-season treat. So we in the editorial team, among Hexperts, thought carefully about making our predictions and bringing it all together in a mock that has the most consensus among us. Let’s go for the Mock Draft 2024 with TrashTalk editorial sauce!

Winger – JL Bourg-en-Bresse
The first place of Zacch is not unanimous in the editorial office. Some are betting on a call from Mr. Alexandre Sarr for the first position of this 2024 Draft, even if the latest questions asked to the French interior do not necessarily suggest a first pick for him. We are therefore going for Bressan, even if there is still the possibility of seeing Donovan Clingan in 1 or even a transfer from the Hawks.
Ailier fort – Perth Wildcats
Here too, a not unanimous pick since some see Zaccharie Risacher being called in 2, or even a panic move from the Wizards who would set their sights on Donovan Clingan. But once again, the most plausible remains Alex Sarr. It fit perfectly in the Washington racket which has an immediate need for defense, and it seems to be the place where the great from Perth wants to find himself. Alexandre Sarr, number 2 in Washington, and we really don’t see him slipping below second place.
Arrière – Kentucky
Our only consensus pick for the 2024 Draft: in the editorial department everyone is betting on the dashing Reed Sheppard in Texas. Houston doesn’t lack outside players, it’s true, but a little craziness and extra shooting among the Rockets’ youth team can’t hurt. We know how the level of play of Kentucky’s guards translates into the NBA in general, that’s a good story!
Guard/Point Guard – UConn
Another pick that not everyone agrees with. Risacher here, Buzelis there, but the path of the UConn guard to pass the plates to the French titan (Victor Wembanyama) in 4, it’s the scenario that makes the most sense, and it’s the one for which we sign. NCAA champion, two-way potential with real playmaking potential, we are rubbing our hands and even stamping our feet a little impatiently at the idea of seeing Mr. Château in San Antonio.
Ailier – G League Ignite
Here it is ! The antagonist of this 2024 vintage, which three quarters of the editorial team see ending in the historic franchise of antagonists in the NBA. Some are announcing Ron Holland in this fifth position, but for the rest of the editors, few doubts remain about the fate of the American-Lithuanian. With the disappearance of the G League Ignite, Buzelis will serve as the last Mohican of his species as the best Ignite player in this vintage, and the emerging rivalry with Zaccharie Risacher intrigues us as much as it amuses us.
Ailier – Tennessee
Clingan, Castle, but especially Knecht planned in Charlotte this evening. The crazy scorer from Tennessee is tipped to the Hornets, who will be able to use his offensive abilities in their rebuild plan between Mark Williams, Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball. To see if he is more like Joe, Jack, William or Averell, in any case if we are to believe our mock, Dalton will start his NBA career far from the Wild West.
Pivot – UConn
Once is not customary, we do not all agree. But it remains the UConn giant who has the most consensus in 7. Between Rob Dillingham and Cody Williams also announced in this seventh place, there are more of us who imagine Mr. Clingan eating into Deandre Ayton’s minutes in Portland. With his control tower profile, Donovan will be able to bring back memories of Rudy Gobert to a Northwest Division which… can always count on the presence of the great from Saint-Quentin in its ranks. Two for the price of one !
Guard/Point Guard – Providence
Two guards in San Antonio to send focaccia to Victor Wembanyama, who says no? With his already excellent defensive abilities, Devin Carter has the typical profile of a player who can help the San Antonio franchise. Some see Cody Williams or even Rob Dillingham in eighth, but for the most part, it’s Mr. Carter who will land in the middle of Texas.
9. Memphis Grizzlies : Ron Holland
Ailier – G League Ignite
In Memphis we like fire, we like explosiveness, we like character, so we say to ourselves that Ron Holland would be a good pick for the Grizzlies. Some people prefer Dalton Knecht or Cody Williams, but it is the mix between a Gryffindor wizard and a former President of the Republic that has garnered the most consensus among us. With the return of many injured players from Tennessee, this is a selection that could spark.
Strong forward / Winger – Cholet
There he is, the Tidjane. Some still see Knecht here, or even Nikola Topic, but for the most part it is Tidjane Salaün who will go to Utah. After his big end to the season, the rating of Janelle’s brother has only increased, and a selection in the middle of the Lottery Picks would be fully deserved for the former Cholet player as the ceiling is exceptionally high.
Meneur – Kentucky
For a change, no one agrees on pick 11. We could have put Devin Carter but he is already gone in our mock. There was also the Topic track which was submitted in the editorial. But since this is precisely the player profile that Chicago already has, we’re going with Rob Dillingham, even if the Bulls have a lot of position 1. We’ll be honest, we made this forecast knowing that it was going to depend a lot of Arturas Karnisovas’ blood alcohol level this evening.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder : Cody Williams
Ailier – Colorado
We would have liked to put it a pick higher, so that Williams would reform the duo Zach and Cody with Mr. LaVine, but what do you want, we had to listen to our common sense. On this pick too, no one agrees, some announcing Salaün, Topic or even Dillingham in twelfth, but we decided to bet on a call from the Colorado winger in 12. Cody would thus join his brother Jalen Williams in the Thunder. A good profile to come into play when Alex Caruso and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have to come out to breathe, that’s what we saw.
Back – Baylor
A fullback with a name like that, how could you not bet on it. We have Devin Carter and Jared McCain announced for these positions but it is Mr. Walter who caught our attention the most in thirteenth. This is an interesting profile to bring additional defense and skill to Sactown and help out the Fox on the purple backcourt.
Ailier – Colorado
You know the song: no one agrees. To complete the lottery picks, we have Tidjane Salaün, Kel’el Ware and Devin Carter in the editorial team, but we decided on a profile sponsored by Copacabana beach. The forward represents a bit of a reach in 14, we grant it to you, but his experience and his versatility can immediately bring to the professional team which will recruit him. We leave for the Brazilian-German in 14, and we don’t look back.
Meneur – KK Crvena Zvezda
Finally here it is, the Nikola. His rating has fallen significantly since his injury at the end of the season, he who some did not hesitate to announce on the podium of this 2024 Draft just a few weeks ago. Coming out of the lottery, Topic will be able to remind the Florida franchise of the good memories of Goran Dragic, and in this position, we are almost guaranteed to be on a steal given the leader’s potential.
