The Devils must not forget a major change at the Euro: “That’s not why we watched Germany” – All football

UEFA announced a major change, a few weeks before Euro 2024. Only the captains of each team will have the right to discuss with the referees, under penalty of warning.

A major, but logical, change took place a few weeks before the start of Euro 2024, on the orders of UEFA. During the entire competition, only the captains of each team will have the right to discuss a phase with the referees.

All other players complaining about a refereeing decision to the man with the whistle should receive a yellow card. An instruction to which Devils, and more especially young people, generally more fiery and less restrained in their emotions, will have to pay attention.

Only Kevin De Bruyne will be able to discuss with the referees

This Saturday at the start of the afternoon, a few minutes after the first completely closed training session on German soil, Timothy Castagne spoke about this new measure at a press conference (discover the rest of his impressions), after having watched, in the company of the other Devils, Germany’s big victory against Scotland.

“We will have to adapt and we will have to be careful, that’s clear. But that’s not why we watched the match. We also wanted to see how Germany played, and then, that’s the Euro. We’re happy to watch.”

“The closer the match against Slovakia gets, the more the whole group is looking forward to it. It’s good, it’s better than being in panic. There’s a very good atmosphere in the group, everyone Everyone can’t wait to play.”
