Start of summer sales: Limougeauds traders hope to boost sales after a rainy spring

This Tuesday, June 26 begins the summer promotions season and the rainy spring did not spare the Limougeauds merchants who hope that the summer sales will revive sales and allow the collections which are currently stored en masse to be sold.

“We are impatiently waiting for the sales”

We are impatiently awaiting the sales because the bad weather affected the number of people in the city center, it was a little calmer” explains Lydie, manager of the Pajama Arthur boutique in Limoges.

The summer collection is already released since April a little further away in the “Les Passantes” boutique but the windows did not attract customers who passed by with their hoods on their heads. “When we sell summer dresses and sandals with the weather we’ve had it’s a disaster, there are collections that will have to be sold off and not sold at their normal price” says Nadine who accumulate stocks reserved.

To get by, the salespeople try to find solutions and, like Sophie, develop mid-season collections in his boutique Les Libellules. But for Valérie who manages the Siaska boutique, the main problem has not been resolved, there is an urgent need to readjust to climate change: “I think that at some point we will have to rethink the seasons a little. The sales being a little early for my taste, should perhaps be mid-July“.

Luckily, the beautiful days accompany the start of the sales, the stores hope to see a warm and sunny summer continue.
