In the presence of the secretary general of the wilaya, Brahim Boutmilat, the president of the Provincial Council of Beni Mellal, Mohamed Ouhnine, chaired the ordinary session of the Council, Monday June 10, 2024. Thus, the Provincial Council dedicated the agenda of the session considered, discussed and approved a number of development projects and partnerships.
At the start of the session, a video was shown on all the structuring projects in the province of Beni Mellal. Subsequently, the director of services of the Provincial Council made a detailed presentation of the development projects carried out or in progress in the province, in particular drinking water, roads, sport, rural electrification, etc.
The second and third points were devoted to the study and taking of the necessary measures concerning the creation of the Local Development Company of Beni Mellal Slaughterhouses and their statutes. The fourth point was devoted to the study and taking of the necessary measures concerning the contribution to the capital of this SDL. Regarding the appointment of the representative of the Provincial Council of Beni Mellal within the board of directors of the SDL, the Council proceeded to the appointment of Omar Rihani.
The Provincial Council then approved the sixth point relating to the study and discussion of a draft partnership agreement between the Provincial Council and the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Provincial Councils around the duty of involvement of the Provincial Council. The seventh point was devoted to the study and discussion of a draft partnership agreement aimed at providing financial support to social protection institutions in the province of Beni Mellal, and the Council approved the amounts proposed by the Budget, Finance and Programming Committee. Concerning the eighth point, the Council unanimously approved the draft partnership agreement between the Provincial Council of Beni Mellal and the Initiative Association for the integration of autistic children in Beni Mellal. The Council also unanimously approved the ninth point devoted to the programming of funds canceled in the budget of the Provincial Council of Beni Mellal.
The tenth point focused on the study and appropriate decision-making on the draft partnership agreement between the Provincial Council of Beni Mellal, the Council of the territorial community of Beni Mellal and the Regional Development Company “Society industrial development of Beni Mellal Khénifra” for the development of the first phase of the ecological park of the city of Beni Mellal and its province.
On the eleventh point, the Council unanimously approved the requests for membership in the Commission for Sports and Cultural Affairs, Education and Training at the Provincial Council. The latter devoted the twelfth point to the election of the delegate of the Provincial Council to the group of local authorities of Beni Mellal for the management of the establishment of health protection, to the extent that the Council voted unanimously for delegate Walid Aalam as Council representative. Finally, the thirteenth point was devoted to the election of the vice-president of the sports and cultural affairs, education and training commission of the Provincial Council. Thus, Hamid Bouali was elected as vice-president of the committee for sports and cultural affairs, education and training.
