Durable, safe, fast and comfortable. This is the credo of the Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic delegations as they travel to the Paris Olympics and Paralympics this summer. The three partners presented on Tuesday in Lausanne a train in Swiss colors (red and white), with the official motto of Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic for Paris 2024 in gold: “United4Excellence”.

Timea Bacsinszky, doubles silver medalist in tennis at the 2016 Olympic Games, and Celine van Till, who is expected to participate in the 2024 Paralympics in cycling, christened the Olympic train in the presence of Chefs de Mission Ralph Stöckli (Swiss Olympic) and Peter Läuppi ( Swiss Paralympic).

“The trip to Paris will represent a first moment of emotion for our delegation, so we will ensure that the conditions are the best possible during the trip already, so that our athletes can then realize their Olympic dreams,” explained Ralph Stöckli.

More than 350 members of the Swiss Olympic and Paralympic delegations will travel by TGV to Paris this summer, for a minimal carbon footprint.
