After years of research and testing, it appears that Lena Situation’s theory « Positive begets positive » could finally be verified. Indeed, a young Dutch homeless man was recently able to see all the benefits of what we call karma. By returning to the police a well-filled wallet found by chance, it could be thatHadjer Al Ali finally got his life back on track.

A mixed reward

That’s good an almost heroic gesture. While he was looking for empty plastic bottles to exchange in a machine for a few coins, the young Hadjer Al Ali made a discovery which is worth gold… literally. A well-filled wallet, without any identity documentwhich he immediately decided to hand over to the police, without even using it. An honorable decision, which we are not sure would have been that of the majority of the population. Faced with such an outpouring of citizenship and honesty, the Dutch police then decided to give him a €50 gift certificate, as well as a very nice trophy representing a magnificent silver thumb. A local distinction designed for this type of civic act. Really nice.

A surge of generosity

And if Hadjer felt happy with these prizes, many people were a little indignant seeing his story appear in the local and then international press. So much so that elsewhere an anonymous source decided to reward the homeless as it should be, by launching an online prize pool. The objective was simple: collect 2000€ from which he separated, to give him. But here, as usual, the internet got a little crazyand these are more than €34,000 which were collected in just one day. A very nice sum, undoubtedly deserved, which will allow the man, father of two boysto get his life back on the right track. Multiple employerstouched by this story, also offered a job to dad. And we are delighted for him. And, to make matters worse, if no one claims the wallet within a year, he can get the money back ! So the next time you find a ticket on the street, think twice times friends!
